An example of a Yashima Pigeonflex from around 1953 was the first TLR made by the company that would later become Yashica. In 1940, several ex employees of Canon formed a new optics company called Kōgaku Seiki. The Yashica camera company originally started as two separate Japanese companies both who made cameras along with other products.
